On 16 October 2026, Alun Alun Indonesia brought together Tobatenun, Batik Chic, House of Inang, and Mustika Ratu for From Heritage to Conscious Fashion, a showcase exploring the intersection of Indonesian heritage, contemporary design, and conscious living.
Held at the Palalada Area, Grand Indonesia, the event featured a runway presentation of 12 muses in elegant mix-and-match looks combining creations from Tobatenun, Batik Chic, and House of Inang. The styling demonstrated how traditional textiles, modern silhouettes, and handcrafted accessories can come together in fresh expressions of Indonesian fashion.

Tobatenun showcased the artistry of Batak weaving through Ulos Harungguan, known as the King of Ulos, and Partonun Kreasi, which brings traditional motifs into contemporary designs. Beyond its collections, Tobatenun supports local weavers, or partonun, through skills development and community empowerment.
Batik Chic reinterpreted Indonesian batik for the modern wardrobe, while House of Inang transformed recycled plastic into handcrafted fashion pieces with social and environmental value. Mustika Ratu completed the collaboration by celebrating Indonesia’s traditional beauty heritage.

The showcase offered a shared perspective on how cultural traditions can evolve while retaining their significance. By bringing together textile craftsmanship, innovative design, and more conscious practices, the participating brands highlighted new ways to appreciate and incorporate Indonesian heritage into everyday life.
Visitors could also enjoy a special shopping offer, receiving a complimentary wristlet with every IDR 500,000 purchase.
Through From Heritage to Conscious Fashion, Alun Alun Indonesia reaffirmed the relevance of Indonesian craftsmanship in today’s fashion landscape, celebrating the people, creativity, and traditions that continue to shape its future.
