When beauty becomes a meeting point.
In Batak, Nauli means “beautiful.”
For us, NAULI: The Art of Fashion was about exploring beauty through different forms of making. Where wastra, fashion, craftsmanship, and lifestyle come together.
Presented with d’corner Events on 29–30 September at our Studio & Gallery in Sopo Del Tower, NAULI brought together designers and creative brands with different perspectives on materials, culture, and personal style.
Through its trunk shows, Iyonono explored dimensional textiles through handcrafted techniques and collaborations with local women, highlighting the value of process, skill, and the human touch behind each piece.

Ouikana translated elements of Nusantara culture into contemporary modest fashion, showing how cultural references can be reinterpreted into silhouettes that feel modern, wearable, and relevant.
Alongside them, September Design brought a refined perspective through lace and silk, while creative brands across jewellery, fragrance, footwear, and craft added other expressions of contemporary Indonesian creativity.

For Tobatenun, NAULI was more than a fashion event. It was an opportunity to open our Studio & Gallery as a space for exchange, where Tenun Batak can meet contemporary design, where makers can meet new audiences, and where different creative disciplines can inspire one another.
We believe heritage becomes more meaningful when it continues to live, interact, and find new contexts.
NAULI was one of those moments: a celebration of beauty, craftsmanship, and the many ways Indonesian creativity continues to evolve.
