Jakarta, 11 February 2026 — Dedicated to the spirit of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr—a season of reflection, togetherness, and renewed kinship—Tobatenun once again collaborated with Sopo Del Tower to present RAYA, a collaborative showcase unveiling its latest Ramadan and Eid 1447 H collection. Bringing Batak handwoven textiles into contemporary fashion, the presentation featured collections by Itang Yunasz, fbudi, Glashka, Shawl & Co, and AMOTSYAMSURIMUDA, while also introducing the rich textile tradition of Abit Godang from Angkola, South Tapanuli.
Renowned designer Itang Yunasz, widely recognised as one of Indonesia's pioneers of ready-to-wear Muslim fashion, reinterpreted Batak handwoven textiles through a refined collection of luxe Muslim attire, womenswear, and menswear. The presentation also featured mother-and-daughter duo Ashka and Malika Sunarya, alongside Reza Bustami and Esmeralda Harahap as muse.
Experimental fashion label fbudi, founded by Felicia Budi, presented a demi-couture collection distinguished by its conceptual approach and meticulous attention to artistic detail. The collection's intricate silhouettes were showcased by Sarita Thaib and Yuki Aprilia.
Tobatenun also collaborated with Glashka, the label founded by Ega Augustia and Sarah Sofyan, which presented feminine silhouettes enriched by the delicate hand embroidery traditions of Tasikmalaya, thoughtfully combined with handwoven textiles from North Sumatra. The collection was presented by muse personas Claudia Soraya and Anne Danianto.
Continuing its collaboration with AMOTSYAMSURIMUDA, the RAYA collection introduced a vibrant menswear line inspired by the warmth and joyful spirit of Eid al-Fitr. The presentation featured Rian Ibram, Raja Siregar, Arnis Muhammad, and Aulia Rusdi as muse.
Alongside these national fashion labels, Shawl & Co, founded by Tria Adrian, Indira Tranggono, and Astri Adrin, presented effortless contemporary garments accented with subtle yet distinctive Batak handwoven textiles for everyday wear. The collection was showcased by Chatarina Liendres, Jackie Kezia, and Pipin Ervina, alongside a mother-and-daughter presentation featuring Cisca Becker and Lilou Nai Amaya.
As part of the showcase, Tobatenun also introduced Abit Godang, also known as Abit Sadum Angkola, a historically significant textile tradition from Angkola, South Tapanuli—a region where the majority of the population embraces Islam. Woven using the supplementary weft technique, locally recognised as songket or jungkit, the textile is further distinguished by the intricate marsimata technique and dense bonggit lilit embroidery, reflecting generations of craftsmanship and cultural exchange.
Abit Sadum Angkola was presented alongside Ulos Sadum and paired with contemporary kebaya designs by House of Djuita. The presentation was further complemented through collaborations with handbag labels Lungsin and Da'Poza.
As a celebration of togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan, RAYA was hosted at Sopo Del Tower, a development by Toba Pengembang Sejahtra. Located in the heart of South Jakarta, Sopo Del Tower serves as a dynamic hub for business, industry, and creative collaboration, providing a flexible space where innovation and cultural expression can flourish.
